Now watching that video, i think Barton's challenge was a potential Leg Breaker but Nasri was fortunate that his leg wasn't there. Then it might have been me being Biased towards Arsenal but Nasri doesn't touch Barton!

I was watching MOTD last night and though exactly that; if Nasri's studs had just stuck in the ground a bit (as they often do) it would have been an Eduardo-esque injury. I think there probably was contact when Nasri appeared to trip Barton, else Barton wouldn't have fallen over, but I think it was minimal and Barton made the most of it. Anyway, Barton deserves everything he gets, he should be in prision and/or banned from football for life. He's a disgrace to his sport, his family and to society. Actually, he's not the biggest disgrace to his family; his brother was the one who supplied the axe for a racist killing in Manchester a few years back.

Also, did you see his expression after his tackle on Nasri? He looked rather proud of himself.

I agree i used to like him as a footballer. I thought he was a great prospect but I'm with you. He Should get what he deserves, lifetime ban, jail sentence, Fines Etc

Well I am ubiased but with barton challenge he wasn't going fully in and he wouldn't have made much contact with nasri if he did make a bigger touch because of the angles. But I do hate Barton as his attitude is terrible.

I can tell why he gets in fights. If I saw him, I'd have to lay him down.

I just don't like Barton in general. I believe Max has summed up my feelings as well.

The youtube video posted in the first post was out, so I went to youtube myself to find it and I did. Thuggish challenge by a sorry excuse for a footballer who doesn't belong in the sport.

As an interesting note, the related videos were all professional wrestling, backyard wrestling, or hockey fights.

There we go. Barton must be anti-French or something.

It would have been nice if Nasri really laid him out, but that's probably not in his game.
