I'm so happy for Jimmy Bullard, I think he's a great player but with the vast number of central midfielders he is always left out. He had a 15-month injury setback but finally he gets his chance. I just hope that he actually gets onto the pitch to show everyone what he can do. It looks as though Capello will play Rooney and Defoe up top together, but that does not play to Rooney's strength as he needs a target man to play off. My guess is that they will lineup like this: ------------James------------ Brown----Rio----JT----A. Cole Becks--Barry---Lampard-J. Cole -------Defoe---Rooney-------- This at least plays to Lampard's strength, as Barry will be told to play his usual role for England - a slight holding role, to give Lampard license to roam throughout midfield and hopefully bag some good opportunities. My worry is that Beckham's crossing threat will be nullified in open play, so I would be inclined to play Bentley, though I think SWP deserves to be in the squad, especially after his performance today. England should be determined to set the record straight, and I think they'll do to Andorra exactly what they did to Estonia when they played them before; kill the game off 3-0 before half time, then rest. They'll need all the rest they can get to beat Croatia, but I honestly don't think they'll do it under this system. I'd gladly take a draw against Croatia, but I envisage another 2-0 loss in Croatia.
Some interesting choices. Obviously Bullard is the obvious surprise and like Chingy i'm very excited at the prospect of him finally playing for England. And IMO Walcott has a few chances to shine. I'm glad Capello is giving him chances unlike Ginger Prick Mclaren did. Good solid squad, It can see off Andora but Crotia will still as alwys be a close encounter. I am also glad that Bullard has gained a place he has been performing great throughout his time at Fulham, and he did fantastic to get out of that injury. My Predictions are England 5-0 Andora and England 2-2 Croatia
I think Andorra will slip one by as well, but a scoreline of 5 : 1 to England. Croatia v England I'm honestly going to say will be a tough one. I'm going with 2 : 1 to Croatia.
