Rockets trade Artest + filler for Odom, so they have a guy better suited for PF, and Lakers are better suited for SF. Win-win!

Lakers send Kobe to San Antonio for Bruce Bowen, Matt Bonner and a first round pick.

I love this off-season. No crazy rumors, no drama. It's a breath of fresh air for once.

Aside from some depth and the issue of LO, there's not much for us to do.

There is a rumor floating around that Luke Walton sucks, I dunno if that's true or not. Probably just some made up BS

Last summer, everyone was hating on Mitch.

    This summer?

Sorry, Kobe is not enough to trade for Sean Williams. Maybe give us Bynum, too, and it'll work out.

It has been quiet this offseason, and I wanted to echo Mamba's sentiment of it being refreshing for once to not have drama hanging over this team. The only two negative stories this summer which worked themselves out was Sasha's extension and Bynum's agent trying to press for a max contract.

The Lakers lost one of my personal favorites, Turiaf, in the offseason, but I think Josh Powell will fill the role he played just fine. Plus I'm curious to see if Mihm can give us anything this year.

I don't expect much from Sun Yue this season, but hopefully he gets showcased in the DLeague to improve his game and get acclimated to the NBA style of basketball. He did show flashes during the Olympics and he would bring some much needed athleticism to our forward position at some point.

I know a lot of us expected one more key move after the tough loss in the NBA Finals, but the key move might simply be a healthy Andrew Bynum. Lakers front office showed a lot of patience last summer with the Kobe demands, and it worked itself out. If the Lakers can stay healthy and focused we should be right back in the hunt and the favorites to come out of the West again.
