According to SoccerByIves.net, USA midfielder Michael Bradley is moving to newly promoted Borussia Monchengladbach.

While I think everyone outside of Holland agrees that the Bundesliga is a step up from the Eredivisie, I don't see this move as a step in the right direction for Bradley. Heerenveen is in the UEFA Cup and will be competing with the big boys of Holland to return next year. Monchengladbach is not going to be doing anything and this is just another American at an inferior European team.

I'm glad he's not going to play punt and run with Middlesborough, but after hearing rumors of Monaco (with Freddy Adu), Werder Bremen and Leverkusen, this is the best he can do? I'd rather him stay at Heerenveen.

I have to agree with you here, he has took a step back. But hopefully it will be 1 step back and 2 steps forward.

Borussia Mönchengladbach are a great club with a lot of young players. They will be a club to watch this season as they've taken a 180º direction from when we last seen them in the Bundesliga. I'm really excited and looking forward to watching him play in the midfield with upcoming German superstar Marko Marin and Israeli international Gal Alberman.

Yes but to be honest they won't reach the top 7-8. Bradley's team should be competeing for uefa cup spots.

He won't get the playing time he deserves at clubs like Bayer Leverkusen and Werder Bremen. Borussia Mönchengladbach is a great fit for him and he's not even going to be the best player on the team anyway. 19-year-old sensation Marko Marin, Israeli international Gal Alberman and reliable veteran captain Oliver Neuville with his 69 Germany caps are all better on an overall scale then Bradley right now.

Its a great step for Bradley. Bundesliga is one of the best in the world and the experience he'll get there will help him a lot.

I still remember Neuville from the 2002 world cup, he was great then.
