Man City are now discussing a transfer for Robinho. This is crazy!

    Robinho, Berba, Villa: insane.

Well cocky Ferguson has done it again. Signed a long term target and gets off a potential F.A charge

Why is Man U getting another forward? They already have Rooney, Tevez, and sometimes Ronaldo.

None of those guys have Berbatov's presence. Rooney and Tevez will be better in tandem with Berbatov as he can hold up the ball and create some space for them. Of course, he can always get the job done on his own too.

    I don't think they'll work playing with 3 forwards.

    Robinho is overrated? lol

Manchester United will have no problems playing all of their forwards. Berbatov is their only true striker. Rooney and Tevez are second strikers and Ronaldo is a winger. They can play Berbatov up front with Tevez behind him. Ronaldo out right in the midfield or wing and Rooney at attacking midfield. Easy solution.

Like some said earlier in another thread, Rooney and Teves aren't pure strikers.

I assume by "Forward" you mean "Striker" because, whilst Rooney, Tevez and Ronaldo are "Forward playing players" they are not by any means strikers. Ever since van Nistelrooy left, United have been without a target man in the box; someone who you know will be in the right place at the right time to score crucial goals. Someone who will be in the box to head goals. Having a player like that will only enhance all three of those players you mentioned. Ronaldo will be able to go to the byline and cross the ball in more (most Utd goals from crosses are from deep, low crosses) and it will give Rooney and Tevez a player to play off. For example, a long ball can be headed on or down by Berba into the parth of Rooney/Tevez which will give an extra dimension to their games. Also, with Berba's presence in the box, the defenders' attention will naturally be drawn to him as he is the target man. This will allow Rooney, Tevez, Ronaldo, Anderson, Scholes, Giggs, Nani, Fletcher or whoever to be even more dangerous with late runs into the box. I'm not entirely sure how they will play, but I would like them to play a little like this.

    --------------VDS-----------
    Brown-----Rio----Vidic---Evra
    -----------------------------
    -----Hargreaves----Scholes--
    --Ronaldo----Tevez----Rooney
    -------------Berba-----------

Hargreaves and Carrick would be interchangeable, and Anderson could play in most of the midfield roles, as could Giggs. Nani could play on either wing, too. Fletcher would most likely play at either CM spots. Basically, the three AM players would be given license to roam around the area, dropping back to receive the ball, going down either flank or through the middle, making them very difficult to defend against. Whilst they would play off Berba, it would pretty much really be a 4-2-4 system, as they would be forced to attack as much as possible.

I don't see Fergie using that systm, though, as he seems to be more of a fan of the 4-4-2, so they will probably line up a bit like this:

    ---------------VDS---------------
    Brown------Rio----Vidic-------Evra
    --------Hargreaves----------------
    Ronaldo-----------Scholes-----Nani
    ------------------Rooney----------
    ------------Berba------------------

It's not too disimilar, but it would probably be a bit more rigid, and a less free-flowing system. Ronaldo and Nani would be given license to switch sides, but that's not too much freedom in comparison to before. In this system, Hargreaves, Carrick or Fletcher could play D; Ronaldo, Giggs, Nani and Rooney could play on the wings; Scholes, Carrick, Fletcher or Anderson could play CM and Rooney or Tevez would play the AM/FC spot.

Pure strikers are actually hard to come by now. The only true ones that come to mind are as follows:

    Adebayor (definitely)
    Berbatov
    Defoe
    Luca Toni

(That's isn't all of them of course, I just got bored)
