Here's what we saw during the 30 minutes the media gets to watch practice on Monday.... * WR Isaiah Stanback returned to practice and was catching passes but he was wearing a harness on his left shoulder. He dislocated it against Houston and is trying to put off surgery. Looks like he will play Sunday as the No. 3 receiver. * LB Kevin Burnett was back at practice for the first time since minor knee surgery on Aug. 15. If all goes well he should be ready to play and return to his nickel role against Cleveland. * LB Anthony Spencer, WRs Miles Austin and Sam Hurd did not practice. * NT Tank Johnson was switched numbers from No. 66 to 95. * Cory Procter was working with the first team at left guard. Could he be the starter? Think the Cowboys were giving Pat McQuistan a chance but they may be settling on Procter. He started the final two games of last year for center Andre Gurode. - Rick Herrin
I'm worried about Stanback... one wrong hit and he'll have to shut it down for the season. He has a lot of potential though... and I do like him. Hopefully he can make some sort of impact this year. It will be difficult though with that injury. Interesting to note that we may carry only 3 WR for the Cleveland game. Of course, having Witten (who can motion out into the slot) does provide versatility in that regard. My guess is we'll see a lot of 2 TE sets this week, which I am actually really excited to see. Also... Felix can help at WR too. And worse comes to worse, Adam Jones has worked this offseason at WR somewhat, and Newman has done it occasionally too (and has experience at it from KSU)
