These positions and what they do? Admin Global Moderator Moderator Drupal Team Producer Commisioner Kind of confused, 'tis all.
Admins run the overall site Commissioners manage a large area of the site Producers manage a smaller are of the site Global Mods are mods that can edit anywhere. It is a wide ranging position as some GM's are responsible for a single forum, some roam and some are responsible for a group of forums Mods are responsible for a forum (or a few forums) Drupal Team is people that are working on the Drupal portion of the site like the homepage and other custom pages
Admins - They run the place and are the good people who make the site possible. Drupal Team - Software stuff. Drupal is the software type the site uses I think. Something along those lines. Global Moderator - Superior to normal moderators, have limited ability to discipline people for wrongdoing. They are moderators over a general section of the forum (the NBA and all its team forums, for example). Moderator - Run certain forums, keep things going. Position of respect. Commissioners/Producers - I don't have a clue. Those were added during my forced vacation. all to the best of my knowledge, i'm probably wrong on a few of those.
The thinking goes like this. We have a lot of forums since we cover more sports than just NBA or NFL or Football. So when spammers come along and do their thing, we want guys to be able to edit. Those would be the GMs. Ideally, we'd have moderators for every forum and they could do the job, but we're not big enough yet. On other sites, the GM type role would do what our producers do. That is, manage a smallish section of the site (e.g. NBA Atlantic, NFC North) and work with the mods to make the place fun. Since we have more than one sport, the commissioner role makes sense - if we broke up the site into separate sites per sport, those guys would be the admins of those sites. That is, NFL commissioner would be Admin of our football site. Make sense?
