this clearly must be their first time, and probably under the influence of someone from one of those other big mean schools.
Shit, I love weed as much as the next guy but wtf are they thinking bringing it to an NBA rookie camp? Leave it at home. Its not like the NBA is going to punish you at all if you get caught with some dank outside of an NBA event.
And I agree with Run. Why would you do weed, or any drug at the freaking NBA Rookie Camp of all places? It seems so obvious. At least they won't get the Chris Andersen treatment. Lucky them, and lucky Heat/Grizz.
NBA players are so sloppy with their drugs. They need handlers and to better keep that shit under raps.
Chalmers, Arthur caught with marijuana at rookie camp Link Wonder if this could had been part of why Arthur's drop... Sure teams would not even take rumors lightly after the reaction Howard got last year. -Petey
Re: Chalmers, Arthur caught with marijuana at rookie camp I think this thread was already posted at least twice already. Not to be rude, just letting you know.
Re: Chalmers, Arthur caught with marijuana at rookie camp Thanks. I feel slow today. Any help is always appreciated. -Petey
It's funny how NBA Rookies only get fined, while my friends and I can get probation... Oh how I love the American system.
Stern obviously made this into a huge and embarrasing situation. I think he is really behind on how the black culture is today. Alot of young athletes smoke weed and have parties with ladies going on late into the night. It isnt really that big a deal unless they become a Vin Baker or Shawn Kemp, which I believe is something young rookies are aware of happening if they party too much when they get in the NBA. I think the two guys were just celebrating because they made it to the NBA and were now millionaires. Do you not expect them to go out and have some fun after most of them being raised dirt poor or close to it for most of their lives?
Yes, I expect them to have fun. I don't expect them to be dumb enough to do it during a freaking NBA Rookie Camp. I'm all for celebrating, but these guys don't even have the self-control to wait a few weeks (if that) before they can smoke up again.
