    All of S2's staff was divided about it. The question posed to us was one of "what do you do with one poster who ruins the site for 10 others who leave and don't bother saying why?" S2's been around for 16 months now and we've rarely had to or wanted to ban anyone, BG7 included. The 10 others who left didn't come back, so we call it a failed experiment and we have learned our lesson.

    Fair enough? Open enough?

    On the real, we all had our reason to resign. Both personal and professional. We like to crack jokes, cause that's who we are and I'm not gonna like, there are some staff problems, but that doesn't concern me at all. BG7 was banned and not even the mods where given a straight answer. Like Denny said, it was an "experiment" and it failed. He might come back, but I don't know. I think that there are a lot of things that need to be addressed as far as member happiness and how things are dealt with. Also, to stop keeping members in the dark and tell them a little more.

    I will point out that we have few rules, and we want people to generally have fun. The one rule we do have and want to promulgate as much as possible is that people should be here to be "honorable" posters - posting with good intent, actively trying to be a good member.

    Fair enough, and a good explanation. But often a hard thing to determine online with no real emotion being stated through mere words.

    For example I like to debate, I'm sure there's some people who may think I'm an ass here at S2. But those who really get it realize that this is an online community and take it at face value. It's a place for discussion where people are going to disagree, but ultimately should be "friends" at the end of the day. There's no reason to lose sleep over what happens in this community. I think that this BG7 guy may have been a victim of that, same for those who left the site.

    Why act like this? Is there any answer they could give that would suffice for you? I don't agree with certain decisions made either but there's a certain point where arguing becomes overkill and you have to move on.

    We've not discouraged people from having disagreements. At other sites, you have a bad day and make a bad post, and you're suspended. We like to consider that people do have bad days and do regrettable things from time to time. I know I've made a handful of posts I've sent a PM to someone to apologize about (after deleting them). I won't hold others to some higher standard. We're aware of peoples' X posts and take into account that a guy with 5000 or 500 posts who makes a mistake isn't a bad poster.

    Like I wrote, we only ask that you're honorable. Our other favorite rule is that we expect people to respect one another. You don't have to like someone, but that's no excuse to stalk or ridicule or insult someone.

    The members are what make a forum what it is. If the mods get bad feedback on someone, they'll do what's best to fix it. Many people join this forum because it has the best conversations and debates all made by the members. Maybe it didn't work, but you learn through mistakes.

    Kind of off topic, but I don't ever remember you posting something in a terribly rude fashion. You're not a problem at all.

    I'm just glad S2 can admit when it is wrong and try to get past this.
