Raiders. They've got a good team, IMO. I think they will be second in the AFC west with a 7-9 record.
49ers had a good preseason...and I could see them doing well next year. They have some nice pieces defensively; and if they can get improved QB play, they could very well challenge for the division title next year. edit: Guess I should answer your question, huh? Saints. Brees is a good QB; Shockey gives them a TE that can stretch the field; their offense will be very good again.
The Saints seemed to do much better in the latter part of last season, but they're not really a "sleeper" team to me.
Saints. Not a biased pick. I would of picked them weather or not I was a fan of them. Last year we battled injury problems and a bad defense. The defense was improved in FA and the draft, plus we are in arguably the worst division in football meaning we'll have an easier road to the playoffs. Hopefully we can stay healthy.
I'd like to think they'll do OK but I'm not sold. Pass protection sucks. WRs suck. Still dunno if they can stop the run at all. At least they have a lot of weak opponents. I'm gonna go with the Lions. Second in the NFC North and a possible wild card PO team.
Haven't heard anything yet. I hope not. He isn't anything special, in fact he's pretty bad, but he's usable.
Texans, Raiders, I could see the Broncos making a little noise (they're so bad, they actually could end up being good).
Like Run said, the Raiders will play well against weak opponents. The schedule favors them this year. Don't look for them to get a wild card this season.
