roster space is an issue. IIRC, the nets have 15 players under contract, not including Hodge or KVH. Something will have to break.
Yup. But do you see the Nets going into the season without a 3rd PG, or does that fall to Vince? -Petey
We need Jeff McInnis. Has anyone herd anything about Armstrong and what he is going to do (retire or play another year)?
I suspect that Hodge will be given every opportunity to win a spot, and be asked to prove that he can play PG in a pinch. Vince would probably handle most of the ball-handling duties, though.
I like Armstrong more than I like Vaughn, and I'd rather take a risk on a D-League player with potential, or an undrafted point guard than go with Vaughn.
I think the last roster spot will go to Hodge..I see Vince being our 3rd PG. If Harris and Dooling are healthy then we should be good without a 3rd PG. hell...even DCR can bring the ball up
There's always Smush Parker. He was playing earlier in the summer with Marcus and Sean Williams. He has not signed with anyone, here or overseas. He must be in someone's camp. A true character guy in the mold of Jeff McInnis. Also seen this summer at the Nets practice facility--Howard Eisley...just working out???
I didn't think the time would come when I would prefer Howard Eisley over another player...but if that other option is Smush Parker, I'm all for Howard.
