As a parent of 4, I don't consider Usher adult music and I see nothing wrong with him performing at an NFL event, no matter what time it is.

Yeah, plus I can picture just about every parent telling their kids to "get [their] ass in bed" nightly. I mean, heh, those whippersnappers just hate following their bedtime!

Kid Chocolate, if you want to debate, then do it here. Don't be sending me harrassing IMs. Adults debate in the forums without the stupid stuff.

I didn't IM you. I PM'ed you. And I asked you a simple question. There was nothing harassing about it. If you don't want to answer it, don't bring it here.

I wanted to know your personal opinion on something unrelated to this thread, I'm not gonna start a new topic just to ask you a question, that's why we have PMs.

I don't think firing Roger Goodell is a good idea.

IM. PM. Whatever. If you have an opinion that is different from mine, that's fine. Go ahead and express it. That's what a message board is for. It's not for venting whatever hatred you have for the world on other posters. That's what therapists are for. If you want to say something on this subject, go for it, but keep it to football and keep it in this thread and not my PMs.

I'm pretty sure I did, and my pm had nothing to do with this thread.

    Nice spin.

    that 1 drowing pool song

Holy Crap! I'm gone a week & its on again. I am tired of the continual target that is obviously on the back of Dale & I. If we so chose, The flamethrowers will come out and its scorched earth for you morons. For example...

First, Kid Chocolate except for your attempt to join the moral majority, which is neither, in post 14. All I got to say to you is would you like your woobie? You, it seems, are cranky and obviously time for your nap.

Next, the thread title is colorful but the whole crux of the matter is that 1) Usher is so 2003, 2) Roger G is an idiot and is more worried about perception of the league than anything else. He handled the Vick thing well. Spygate? Not so well. So far so good on the Pacman Jones reinstatement The NFL is getting as bad as the NBA.

Another example of Goddell's ineptitude & obsession w/ image is Favre's retirement. That mystery can be solved w/ 2 words - Madden Cover. The resulting controversy is more cash generating crap.

Just look at some of the past acts, Britney, Pink, Timberlake/Janet, etc... While I have issues w/ country music, It and rock and roll are the best representatives of the average NFL fan. Save the other crap (pop, rap/hip hop, Reggaethon, Techno, etc...) for the clubs and/or junior high. They banned music or big displays in Oakland. Why? Because it was Metallica. It'd be okay if it were MC Hammer.

I'll offer my 2 cents/translation on GMJigga's thoughts in post 15, "The worlds going to hell; enjoy the ride!"

Cpaw is right this isn't an adult site. Having dealt w/ most of you proves it. In post 19, it would seem Cpaw is back to being his self-righteous, trumped up, holier than thou self w/ his world famous hypocritical do as I say not as I do attitude. Somehow, I believe he'd be the ideal candidate to replace Chris Barrie as Rimmer on Red Dwarf.

Y'all can go on being schemers and planners. I am enjoying being a Mad dog chasin' cars and hopefully I never catch one as I would not know what to do if I did.

Hey Thoth way to complain about being victimized and proceed to relate yourself to DD in every relevant way while at the same time supporting my sentiments that you need to stop living in the 1950's.

I think we need to define "adult." I consider S2 an adult site because I wouldn't let a minor post here because occasionally the language used and images shown are of an "adult" nature. Even when I have down time at work, I won't log on here for those same reasons. I don't consider S2 to be worksafe.

I believe that it's inappropriate for the NFL to be putting on programming during the 6 o'clock hour where guys are singing, "Get your *** back in bed." If that makes me 1950's, then I'll take that. I believe that responsible adults understand that there is a time and place for things and they don't subject little kids that that type of behavior, language and/or images.

What continues to surprise me and is starting to amuse me is the type of venom I draw from S2 guys for attacking public figures. I blasted Roger Goodall, Mooch and Prime Time, but I did it in the NFL general forum. Who else? Really, no one. I never said that Usher shouldn't do his thing. I just said it wasn't the time or place. I never said anything about any S2 posters. I didn't post a negative thread in any particular team's forum. Yet, people responded like I had slapped their mamas. One thing that I would have to agree that isn't "adult" around here is the level of debate. Just once, could we have a thread where people can disagree without resorting to name calling which is what happened really quickly in this thread. I seriously doubt it.
