    Rivers' Expects More Consistency

I think we're going to see one hell of a year from Rivers. I expect his INT's to be down and his TD's and yardage to be up. He has had a full off-season to work with Chambers and if he picks up where he left off last season, he shouldn't miss a beat.

I'm not sure what I'd expect out of Rivers. While it seems like he's wanting to get better, which every player wants, I'm just not sold on him. He hasn't shown too much consistency yet.

And as far as him having a huge season goes, I think that's going to based on how healthy LT is. If LT can carry the load, I'd fully expect them to put a huge amount of the offense on his shoulders. However, Rivers does have the weapons to have a good season in Gates and Chambers, so I wouldn't say it's a stretch that we could see a 3500+yd and 25+td season from him, it's all just a matter of how much LT is running the ball.

All the hype here in SoCal near San Diego is over Rivers this year, not LT. I think we're going to see Rivers step up his game and become the on the field leader of this team. There have been numerous newspaper articles about Rivers embracing the role and the team accepting him as the true leader of this team. With Gates, Chambers, and Jackson as his receiver options..hell, mind as well throw LT in there, I don't think we will have to worry about Philip's inconsistency.

I think a huge part to his early struggles last year was the team not embracing Norv's style of ball and still wanting to play "Marty-ball". Rivers had to adjust to Norv, and when he finally did, the Chargers finished the season undefeated.
