What now? Hopefully he'll be back in a week, but you never know.

How do your expectations for the Patriots change with Cassel as the starter?
Will they go out and sign a better option?
Can they make the playoffs if Brady misses the whole year?

Why would one think NE would make the AFC playoffs with some random QB? I don't trust what I've seen from Cassel yet.

The injury didn't seem THAT serious, I wouldn't worry about it just yet.

They could still win the AFC East without Brady.

Sure they "could". Talk of expecting the post-season seems quite premature though.

I'm pretty sure the Pats have a talented team all around so i think they'll be fine. At least now they'll have an excuse when they lose to the Giants in the Super Bowl :ghoti:

People have no idea what to expect from Cassel, so no.

I don't see a Brady-less Pats team beating out the Jet Farve's for the AFC East

The Browns missed the playoffs last year with 10 wins. If Brady misses significant time, I don't see them making the playoffs. Yes they beat the Chiefs, but the Chiefs are supposed to be the worst team in the NFL this year.

Maybe the Pats make a run, and Brady comes back in the post-season? An outside shot, but as a fan of a rival team, I'd like to see NE again in the postseason for the thrill of it.

Well, he didn't even start in college for one.

Its not like he was benched in favor of Drew Henson or something. He was backup to a couple of Heisman winners.

    But a backup, regardless.
