So this rookie camp is trying to teach 19 to 22 year olds how to avoid women? Is it just me or is that sentence a little bit wrong? If they were telling these young men how to not bring women up to their hotel room, do you think they'll listen to a word you say? I sure as hell wouldn't! Oh and how about the countless other NBA athletes who are caught with weed? Yes they suffered from embaressment, but they werent abused by asshole`journalists were they? Anyway my point is this is way out of proportion, these are vedry young people making a silly mistake, let it go you hypocrites! One more thing, why would you try to drag in a young super-talent like beasley just for the sake of it? really why, what did he ever do to you to make you want to do this to him, if im miami im not worrying because it is just a bunch dumb journalists blowing this thing up to get their paychecks, that is all it is.
I think the main story was why ESPN removed Beasley from the list of players indicted. I agree the story surrounding the weed and women has been blown out of proportion, but it did show bad judgement by those players to put themselves in this predicament.
i totally agree shape, but this is the news that we have to hear about all offseason, then once the season begins, it will be instantly forgotten. I just think it a bit unfair for these guys, yes it was bloody stupid and they are making a mockery of the nba from working all their lives to get to this spot, then almost blowing it by taking weed to a rookie program, but it doesnt warrant the treatment they have gotten from the press, and it will make it very hard for the press to get back on bealeys good side afterwards, and they'll want to because he will be fantastic.
