More questions from the ignorant one (me)

How many different transfer periods are there and when are they? Which leagues participate in the transfer periods?

Good question Cpaw, keep them coming. :)

As far as I know Cpaw, there are two times during the year when the transfer window is open and teams can buy players, etc. The first one is from the time that the leagues stop playing, or the season is over until August 31st (the window which was just closed and had so many players switching teams) and the second transfer opportunity for teams is January 1st to January 31st.

Again as far as I know this goes for all the European leagues but if anyone else can add something else go ahead. :)

The Summer transfer window is actually July 1st through August 31st because all leagues have different schedules. However, transfers may be finalized as late as two or three days after the period has ended due to extended talks between clubs and/or players and their agents. You've got the Winter transfer period down though, CK. Loans on the other hand can be completed at any given time through the season I believe.

Ah ok so it is from July 1st. But yeah I thought about that actually since all leagues have different ending periods. So that makes sense them.

As for loans I think you're right, they can do it anytime. But usually all the big names get signed up rather then joining a team on a loan.

I think the loans outside of the transfer window are only domestic loans. I could be wrong though.

Ah agoo, so you're saying the loans between different countries have to be inside the transfer window? That would make sense actually.

I believe Free Agents can be snapped up too outside of the transfer window (domestic).
