There have been rumors floating around for a while that Memphis is interested in taking ZBo off the Knicks hands for the right price. The Grizzlies have some ugly contracts with Shimmy Boy, Jaric and Darko, although Shimmy Boy's last two seasons are non-guaranteed, so they could put together a crap deal for the Knicks. Considering Zach's history as a knucklehead, why would the Grizzlies want him around Mayo, Gay and Arthur?
Last I read on ESPN, was that the proposed trade is Randolph for Darko and Marko Jaric...I think with a trade like that, Knicks win out big...
Why would they do this? I'd rather have the two separate expirings (and Darko's before), too make trades easier.
Chris Wallace must hate the Grizzlies so he's just trying to do all he can to make us bad. All the hopes of a big signing in 2010 and even the chemistry that we started to build with the young players will be broken. This is pathetic.

Interesting scenerio that I could see going down in some form or fashion. For the Grizzlies, I think they see their current young team having a problem scoring despite the presence of Mayo.(If you remember Durant was the only bonafide scorer on the Sonics and would have lost another 5-10 games without him). I think Darko is a good caliber center in this league, and if I was the Grizzlies GM I would just wait until late December to see if the young Grizz can actually compete on some level before investing in Randolph longterm. They have Warrick afterall who is a competent PF in this league on some level and they gotta see if Marc Gasol and that Iranian guy are competent enough to play the 5 in long stretches.
Stupid. Why would you want Randolph? Why? I really do hope this is just another bad rumour. The Blazers kicked Randolph out so their young guys could become good players and develop good chemistry and all that, why would the grizz want him in their team when they're trying to do the same thing? I dont understand this at all, nobody is this stupid, well maybe Isaiah, but nobody else!

I have no idea why Memphis would make this trade. The reason they dealt Gasol was to gain cap flexibility. Using the cap flexibility on Zach Randolph doesn't make any sense at all. If the Grizzlies want a ball hogging power forward who doesn't play defense, they can sign Juwan Howard for the vet minimum.
