Wade Phillips told the media that Brooks Bollinger is now a Cowboys quarterback. The team released receiver Mike Jefferson and cut QB Richard Bartel from the practice squad.

"We'll have a third quarterback, an experienced guy who will help us there," Phillips said. "We feel better about having a third quarterback."

The Cowboys, Phillips, said were one of about seven NFL teams who only had two quarterbacks on the roster.

The coach wants to get Jefferson back on practice squad.

One of those "eh... whatever" moves. Jefferson isn't going to play this season... and god willing, neither will Bollinger.
