Finally some rugby got onto ESPN, although you'll need ESPN Classic to get it. USA was leading until around 20 minutes in the first half, but a late charge by Munster put them up 10-8 (the current score). A great break by the USA hooker (go figure) just got the USA to around the...30 meter line I'd say (Munster territory).
Munster races down the length of the pitch in about 3 phases, and is now up 17-8 (17 un-answered). Our defense is non existent. I think the team has just given up in trying to stay flat, and there are gaping holes just about everywhere.
Whoa what a play! Inspiring defense by USA beat back about 10 phases at the 1 meter line, and a couple of poor passes sent Munster back to around 19 meters. An intercepted pass by the USA wing, followed by a chip to midfield to avoid his opposite number allowed for 3 quick passes by the USA to score the try. Think "fast break."
