Sure it was just one game, sure it was against the Rams, but I still can't help but to feel excited about this season. Without our two starting wide receivers, McNabb played probably his best game in a looooooooooong time. Our wide receivers all stepped up today, especially Desean. I can go on and on about him, but I won't. Just note the name "Desean Jackson" because you'll be hearing it a lot in the future ;). The offense looked good for the most part, defense was absolutely beastly. Those guys never gave up and held the Rams to only 3 points. Our secondary is gonna beast this year. With Dawkins and Mikell roaming the field, and Samuels-Brown-Sheppard trio giving opposing receivers no room to breath! Our young linebackers Gaither-Gocong-Bradley looked great as well, as did our two young DT studs Patterson and Bunkley! Special teams, our weakest link last year, looked much more improved today. Jackson's return ability immediately helps us with field advantage, and rookie Quentin Demps was making plays like a vet out there in kick offs.

This year is gonna be great, and I'm sure we're going to raise a lot of eyebrows. Bring on the Cowboys!

I think one positive you missed out on was the play of their O-line. There were questions about them over the offseason, but they pretty much dominated. And unlike the rest of the team, the Rams' D-line is pretty solid so its something you can definitely feel good about after that game.

I'm interested to see the Monday Nighter between Dallas and Philly. Both offenses dominated this week against shitty secondaries, but will face some pretty good defenses in week 2.
