    I got a RVN shirt when I was young instead of beckham. Becham went a month after I bought the shirt I thought it was lucky at the time.

    In fairness, you can't have been paying much attention to United at that time, if you consider yourself "lucky" not to buy a Beckham shirt a month before he went. It was evident to most that after "bootgate" he was going to leave at the end of the year. It was more a matter of when and how much, rather than if.
