Terrell Owens -- wearing one of his custom T-shirts that said "iLove" on the front and "Me some me" on the back -- spoke in the Cowboys' locker room Thursday, often about Eagles quarterback Donovan McNabb and the reasons for their failed relationship. I will say that Donovan made me a better receiver in Philadelphia, but I think Donovan would have a hard time admitting I made him a better quarterback. "I will say that Donovan made me a better receiver in Philadelphia, but I think Donovan would have a hard time admitting I made him a better quarterback," he said. Owens also suggested their problems were the result of McNabb being insecure about Owens' popularity surpassing that of the quarterback, saying, "I remember being in that stadium and hearing them chanting my name, and that couldn't bode well for Donovan." Owens said he has a unique relationship with the Cowboys' Tony Romo because the quarterback "gets me" in a way none of the others ever did. Owens also said he honestly does not believe what happened in Philly was his fault. http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/news/story?id=3582112
Let's see... I'm gonna make a bold prediction here, Lito takes an interception in for a touchdown. lol. That shit happens all the time when we play the Cowboys. Asante and Lito will own. I wonder if Sheldon will jack up Marion Barber like he did to Jackson and Bush?
I read this on Yahoo! and I must say, some of it is logical, some of it is right, and some of it is just simply blasphemous. I still dislike T.O. But I do think Donovan would have a hard time admitting T.O. made him a better QB (he undeniably did. He put up his best season numbers with T.O.)
"I still dislike T.O. But I do think Donovan would have a hard time admitting T.O. made him a better QB (he undeniably did. He put up his best season numbers with T.O.)" Well of course he did. He never had anyone else to work with before TO came to town. Before, his primary receivers were Pinkston, Mitchell, and Thrash. Two of the three are already out of the league, and Thrash is nothing more than a "scrub" receiver for the Redskins. I don't think there are too many quarterbacks out there that can achieve the same success Donovan has given the level of talent he had to work with. Hell, Donovan took us to the Superbowl without TO.
I'm not taking anything away from Donovan regarding the fact he made something out of nothing offensively; I'm just saying simply that T.O. made him a better QB. It doesn't matter what his other talent was, it's an insignificant factor. I'm just being objective here when I say T.O. made him a *far* better QB, and that McNabb would (from speculation) have a hard time admitting that. Also, the Dallas game was a great game. Props to the Cowboys.
