Will fill in for the vacancy Mark Jackson left. http://www.nj.com/nets/index.ssf/2008/09/nj_nets_marv_and_czar_together.html "And we'll be the first to say it: It is our earnest hope he isn't here for long, because he should be coaching." That sentence from the article is a little interesting.. Maybe coaching for the nets??? We can always hope so haha..
Re: Mike Fratello Nets new analyst. Tripucka, when was the last time he called a Nets' game? I think it's Marv, Eagle, Spanarkel and Fratello unless I missed something about Tripucka coming back.
Re: Mike Fratello Nets new analyst. His contract ended. He lives in California and he'll probably be a head coach not too long from now. When he chose not to re-sign he thought he was going to coach the Knicks. He still works for ESPN/ABC.
Re: Mike Fratello Nets new analyst. nice! i love marv and mike. they have chemistry. this is awesome. i love the nets announcing team. speaking of mark, i live in LA and i saw him driving with his family down my neighborhood street. crazy! and my friend saw him eating at a deli with his family too. i am bound to meet him one day!
Re: Mike Fratello Nets new analyst. Does Marv calling him the "Czar of the telestrator" ever get old?
Re: Mike Fratello Nets new analyst. Am I the only one who's annoyed that we have to stomach through another guy who will routinely make jabs at Frank and jockeying for his job when the team struggles? I think the Marv/Czar shtick is boring. Marv just dismisses every obvious point he makes, I fail to see how that's great chemistry.
Coach with 666 Wins to Replace MJax Mike Fratello, Jersey native, Czar of the Telestrator and winner of 666 games with Cleveland, Atlanta and Memphis, will replace Mark Jackson on YES. Lawrence Frank, this Bud's for you. Watch out. Your successor could be in the building.
Re: Mike Fratello Nets new analyst. Cant wait for the 10 game losing streak. LET THE FRATELLO FOR NEXT NJ NETS COACH CAMPAIGN START NOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Re: Mike Fratello Nets new analyst. So was it Canter's or Jerry's? Not like there's an abundance of delis in LA.
Re: Mike Fratello Nets new analyst. Whew that was close. I'm glad Tripucka's not coming back. I'm glad we don't have to break in a rookie announcer to the booth. It's good to have a veteran coming in to do games.
Re: Mike Fratello Nets new analyst. Oh I've passed the place, but never went there. I lived in LA for about a year and a half and still go there at least once a year... my wife's a native. If it's good enough for native NYer Mark Jackson (and Max) I'll have to check that place out.
