SI wondering if VC will be asking for a trade by mid-season. Do they know something we don't? Do they think Vince will feel he has too much of a load to carry? Me, I don't see him asking for a trade. Doesn't seem to fit Vince's personality.
link? They could be looking at it from the whole "getting older and not wanting to be part of a rebuilding" angle.
I thought that was a bad article by someone that probably didn't watch a lot of Nets games, but was friendly with RJ. This one part ruined the articles credibility: Never? Please. He even admitted his defense wasn't up to par during his Milwaukee press conference.
I don't remember all the details about his exit from Toronto, but he isn't 24 anymore and should be judges on his behavior over the past few years--seasons in which he has seemed to be the most mature and stable member of the team.
honestly, i do not see vince asking for a trade. i think that would go against everything he has said and done this past year and offseason with the nets. i do however see the nets looking to trade him if his value increases. if he plays anything like he did last year in the 2nd half of the year, he should be an attractive piece for a team looking to win in the playoffs *cough UTAH *cough* POST ALL STAR BREAK STATS 23 ppg 6.5 rbs 5 asts 1. 6 stls 40.6 3pt% 47.5 fg% 85 FT% that was vince's stats after kidd left and it was just him and devin. AND RJ was still there. AND it was on one leg. I bring that up because if he puts up those stats, i see nets looking to dump his money cause he is odd man out at this team. its all young pieces and he is the one that sticks out.
FROM TRUE HOOP sounds like vince has got a lot to prove this year. this could be the year that people remember him by instead of remembering his 16 last games a raptor.
In Toronto, Vince couldn't handle the pressure and the fans expectations In NJ, there is zero pressure on Vince and he can put up pretty stats w/out worrying about wins. That is why Monstross is saying that it isn't in Vince's personality to ask for a trade. Why would Vince want to leave a situation with no pressure?
And yet in 27 playoff games with the Nets, Carter has averaged 26, 7 and 5...and went to the line nearly nine times a game. Carter is not Paul Pierce, but then again, the Nets didnt have Kevin Garnett and Ray Allen. This argument has long since become tiresome. He is who he is and that's pretty damn good.
not sure...cap space? ak47? really dont know what to tell you. but i do see the nets wanting to clear cap space for a major free agent or something.
Probably similar to what we traded Kidd and RJ away for: young prospects and/or draft picks. There's really no surprise there.
most nba players (and people in general) don't like pressure...vc is just honest to himself and others and doesn't put on a show...other players will talk and act like they crave the pressure situation and that that's what they're waiting for...but are completely terrified...other players aren't afraid of the pressure but never put the necessary work in to prepare for it so they fail unlike the greats who know if they make the play or shot 9 times out of 10 in practice and in their minds they will make the same play pressure or no pressure.
VC for artest and filler( prob luther head and change) Does that work or do u think VC is worth Artest AND battier?
