Defense not getting killed but KC isn't a huge challenge either. Seabass 57 yard FG with assistance from the wind. Howard just made a perfectly times blitz and got the sack on Huard.
Wow Curry dropped another easy catch, what the hell is wrong with him? Lelie has been a pleasant surprise. Don't get me wrong, hes nothing special, but hes a decent receiver who doesn't fugg up. Hes made some nice catches, just got a first down on some extra effort, got a TD on a fade rout last week, and earlier today had to deflect a would-be pick away from Surtain. Hes probably been our best WR which is pretty sad.
Fargas injured is gonna hurt us. Hes been the only good part of the offense. McFadden not doing too well running up the middle. He runs into his blockers every time and basically caves and hits the ground immediately. And then we try to run on 3rd and 6? Got close to a first but damn its like we aren't playing to win.
Defense really came to play, they were solid in the first half. The Offense.. well they need to execute on their passing plays.
Jamarcus is way off today. Doesn't help that his receivers and pass blocking sucks though. Fargas was all we had going and now hes gone. Secondary is showing why they got all that money though. Huff looks great at FS, Gibril doing solid at SS, Howard is a monster in coverage, Aso made some plays and even Deangelo Hall is playing well. McFadden just broke off a big run to get us safely away from our own end zone. Hopefully he can get it going and find some open space.
Fuck McFadden! Another huge run (50 yards?) but fumbled it out of bounds at the end. How did he get run down anyway? Great play by Pollard though.
Our depth at RB is really paying off now. McFadden seems to be getting more comfortable running the ball with fargas out. Before he was just running to whatever hole the play was to despite that hole being shut down most of the time. Now hes taking more time to find a gap and hit it hard. Bush is just a solid ass RB. Doesn't make a lot of big plays but hes good for at least 3 yards pretty much every play.
I'm trying not to be excited because its only the Chiefs but damn McFadden + our defense looks great. Jamarcus/receivers look pretty crappy though. I'm happy with Jamarcus overall though- he hasn't been very sharp at all but hes not making costly mistakes. Bowe with a great catch there.
I think their working relationship is just fine. Ryan knows he sucked ass last week and Kiffin flat out said he doesn't mess with the defense, thats all Ryan and Al. Amazing how much better the defense looks when you do elementary things like BLITZ and jam receivers at the line. BTW how about Mario Henderson at LT? Did a pretty solid job there. Dipshit Kwame Harris better watch his back.
