I've been checking with my friends living in the Houston & Gavelston areas, along with following it on the news. Hopefully everybody is safe and prepared for Hurricane Ike.

I heard you guys might be without power for a week?

I just spoke to my friends and they are bbq'ing and calling it a "Huri-cation" while getting drunk on Hurricanes. No fear.

I didn't think it'd be this bad but it actually did some damage. We got lucky because we only had a few tree branches fall on our house. Other people had much more damage. Broken fences, garages, entire trees falling over. It was a pretty crazy day specially without any electricity all day. Finally got it back about a couple of hours ago! woohoo!

I hope you Houston folk are okay too.

Further, I need The Dream to be alright so I can continue having those amusing debates with him. :]

For all those that care I'm alive. Fortunately there wasn't that much damage around my area. Some people lost their roofs, some down power lines, trees, etc., but it could've been much worse. My office that I work at has power so I'm chillin up here for the most of the day, because "cabin fever" is setting in.

anyway I hope we get the pats and jets game down here today, since there's no Texans (that's one good thing that Ike did) and not some lame news coverage of "neighbors helping neighbors" or idiotic people attempting to cross flooded waters in a geo metro............
