Cassel did okay for his first start. You could tell he was getting scared by pressure at some points and just let them tackle him instead of going through his progressions. But the most important thing for him is to not make mistakes...and he didn't really make any.

    Not a bad win eh?

Expect another win next week against the Dolphins.

I heard some clown on the Patriots network earlier who wouldn't stop a) trashing the Jets and b) deepthroating the Patriots. Stupid fuck hahaha.

If you can beat Buffalo too, I'd say the post-season is yours.

You were watching the Patriots network and someone being pro-Patriots and anti-Jets is so surprising to you that you felt a need to post about it here?

As someone pointed out in the other thread, when Brady is winning, they were down-playing his involvement in that. Now that he's out, everyone is saying that he's the entire key to Patriots' wins and that no one else contributes. The truth lies somewhere between. Brady is an all-time great quarterback, but he's playing with one of the best coaches ever, and the best team of the free agency era.

Cassel knows the system and he's being plugged into that situation. I'm not going to say that the Patriots are going to win the Super Bowl or anything, but they are going to win the division.

I never said it was surprising, I just think those idiots are funny.

I'm sorry, what was the point of that?

Maybe next year, when Brady's back.

I think its funny how the Vikings have QB questions and everyone absolutely trashes them, yet the Patsies have QB questions and they're still golden. The NFL bias is just incredible sometimes.

in 2 games last year, they beat Buffalo 94-17, combined. I don't think Buffalo's improvements and the Brady injury is going to close that 77 point gap. I know that's a foolish way to look at it, but I think its logical.

I'm going to hold you to that then; pretty bold statement.

I don't mean the Patriots will blow them out, I just think they're still the better team.

Because the Patriots have a history and play in a weak division.

Last year, it was a weak division. The Bills could easily emerge out of nowhere and challenge for the division. The Jets have Favre, a great line, a nice receiving core, and a respectable defense, so anything can happen there.

    Brady is a huge loss.

    But it is one position.

Patriots are superior to the Bills.

The most important position in the NFL, by far, and the man responsible for that team's offensive greatness.

Do we really know how much better Trent Edwards is than Matt Cassel?

    Agreed.

But its still just one position. Opposing teams will still double Randy Moss because he is still Randy Moss, etc.
