Derek Anderson has always been inconsistent. When he was at Oregon State, you could never rely on him

Inconsistent is different than crap. You make it sound like he, at some point this year, has been good. He hasn't. He's been pure trash so far this year, no way around it.

As I've stated, I look at Derek Anderson as a product of a contract year. Who knows, maybe he'll turn it around and prove me wrong. With the way he's been playing, I don't see that happening, but I could be wrong.

I'm just saying he goes through long stretches of being good, then sucks major cock. He can't perform when there is lots of pressure on him

By pressure, do you mean being blitzed a lot, or just pressure to succeed? If it's being physically pressured, then it's understandable, because a lot of QBs have issues under pressure. If it's simply pressure to succeed, then he's in the wrong business. When you're a starting QB in the NFL, that pressure is always going to be there. And considering the fact that the just got a big, fat contract extension last year, that pressure is going to be even greater.

Pressure to succeed. Last year he had no expectations so he could play very loose. Now he has a lot of expectations to win, and he will not overcome that

To be fair: Anderson's played two teams that have legitimate Super Bowl aspirations. Its not like he's played, say, Detroit and struggled. Then followed it up by struggling against Atlanta.

The weather last night was terrible too; if you want to judge him on that... ok. But that's hardly an indication of anything, really.

Lastly, Cleveland's defense has sucked. Its not helping matters. Granted, Anderson struggled from the beginning of the Dallas-Cleveland game... but then the Browns became one-dimensional because they had to. That puts a LOT of pressure on ANY QB when the defense already knows what's about to happen (pass).

Anderson is playing behind a very good OL, has a very good WR, and a very good TE and should be producing. But the teams he's played thus far, the weather, and the defense sucking is hardly helping matters.

Was at the Packers game yesterday and it was a damn good game. Too close for comfort but least I got my moneys worth.

I really didn't like that mismanagement of the clock at the end of the first and second half though.
