No, but it certainly seems you are. Read that slowly so you won't get confused, like you were in your last response.
Makes for a nice bumper sticker, but I don't believe that's true. Situations can change people. I didn't know one person that came back from the Vietnam War that was the same person he was when he left to go to Vietnam.
true, but are you prepared to eat crow when carter wants to be traded. you're taking quite a stand on someone here and don't think for a second i won't throw this in your face in a few months.
The article in question mention Vince might ask to be traded because he had to carry too much of the load. I don't see that happening. And the Vince that asked for the trade from the Raptors because he wasn't being consulted on the moves the team was making......that Vince doesn't exist anymore. He's been humbled. However, if the Nets coach (Frank, or whomever) treated Vince the way Sam Mitchell treated Vince (reduced playing time, benching Vince at the end of games), I could see Vince asking for a trade, in which case I would expect Nets to get less in return for Carter than they gave up for him. And feel free to throw whatever you like. It's only fair. After all, I just made you eat your 'situations change but people don't' theory.
I can't get pumped about this team. Vince Carter is so... blah. I'm going to start referring to him as Vince Uno Cinco.
Rory, Vince has killed some of the enthusiasm I feel about the Nets also. But a Nets fan I am, so I'm once again hoping for the best.
end of 03/04, the goal was to make the team better so he would stay. im sure thats what the fans wanted and that was what vince was fighting for. and he pseudo won. as soon as he left, raptors got rid of all the bad players, got rid of the GM he despised, and became a really really good team.
Yeah they really took their time when they waited for the best offer to come in and then traded Vince for Eric Williams LMAO Sigh, some people will only see what they want to believe.
Nice of you to show your ignorance. Thanks. Raptors wanted draft picks, and there wasn't another NBA team that felt Vince was worth draft picks. AND RAPTORS TOOK ALONZO MOURNING, KNOWING HE'D NEVER SHOW UP IN CANADA. You have once again shown how little you know about the NBA, but you can expect some consolation prizes in the mail.
Nope, try again. They couldn't even get a bargain player thrown in the mix. Jason Kidd's trade stock was at an all time low and the Nets got picks, cap space, and a young budding star in Devin Harris. The Raptors got a center who wouldn't play for their team, and a scrub. When you're ready to discuss intelligently let me know.
