here is the link to TV schedule: http://www.nba.com/blazers/news/Trai...2532-1218.html Bigfoot you beat me to it.
Of the team’s 82 regular season games, 55 will air on Comcast SportsNet (CSN) and 21 can be seen on KGW Northwest NewsChannel 8. The Oct. 8 preseason game against Golden State will also air on KGW, giving fans a rare preview of the upcoming season. Additionally, five games are scheduled to be televised on ESPN, and will be simulcast locally on either CSN or KGW. The remaining six regular season contests will air nationally on TNT. The Trail Blazers continue to expand the number of games shown in High-Definition, with 40 dates now being broadcast in HDTV. All the games on TV and half in HDTV. Why did I even bother getting tickets (Sorry to those without comcast, I hope that gets resolved)
That means I will get to watch 21 KGW and 5 ESPN games that are not simulcast on KGW on my HDTV. So, the other 51+ games I will be sitting at my computer watching the games from an illegal web site. That's except for the few games I will be going to this year. Damn you Comcast damn you all to hell!!!!
That sucks. But don't forget the TNT games. I think they have the best HD of the group listed. Discovery channel HD kicks ass. So if you don't get the Blazer game you can watch moose mate in incredibly clear HD TV. : ) (It was a joke, but I don't know if you can laugh about it . . . it would be hard for me to.)
Your right I forgot the TNT games. I will have to remember to watch the discovery channel HD for mouse mate when I can't see the Blazers. Thanks also j/k. I'm just really feedup with Comcast. I would subscribe to Comcast if I could. At least the lowest package that carried CSNW but I only can get Charter cable. I actually subscribe to Directv but would love to get CSNW anyway I could.
I was listening to 95.5 the game about a month ago and MB and Rice were talking. Rice said something about good news with directv and Comcast. Then MB told him they can't say anything about that yet and changed the subject really quick. I haven't heard a word from anybody since. I just don't think it is ever going to get done.
I just found out that my local telelphone company has cut a deal with Comcast and will be carrying CSN. I will be dumping Dish and switching to the phone company's new FIOS service before the start of the season. Yippeee!!
I wish I could get FIOS. FIOS is a very limited service. I doubt it will ever be offered at the coast or at least not for years.
Yeah, it's pretty capital intensive to install so they need a good density of service in order to do it. They tore up my neighborhood last spring installing the fiber optic line. They managed to snag a gas line going into a house several blocks away from me and blew the thing to kingdom come. Made me a bit nervous as they worked on my street.
I would like to hear how it goes with verizon. They tore up my street to put it in. Right now I have internet at home from verizon and cable TV from comcast. Both are trying to sell me on a combo package. I'm happy with both services so have fought the urge to go with one company for both products . . . although it is probably the smart way to go. If I was going to combine, I would go with verizon . . . so let me know what you think of their cable TV once you test it out for awhile.
Great picture. The moose mate came from my post and admittedly worded starngely because I didn't know the exact way to make moose plural ( watch discovery channel and see moose's mating???) Is it "moose's"?
It's not Verizon, it's my local telephone company. I live out in Canby and it has its own telephone cooperative. I'm just happy that I have any alternative this season to get the CSN broadcasts.
