1) Chelsea 2) Manchester United I can't decide between Arsenal and Liverpool. I'd imagine if Arsenal's board wants to keep pinching pennies, he'll have somewhere make him an offer he can't resist. And with Liverpool, it seems their ownership group are at war every other month. Chelsea has a great owner whose willing to spend... spend and spend... -Petey
At the way we are playing recently, it looks like it's going to be us. But saying that, we always start quite bad and pick things up towards the end of the year. For me it's split between Liverpool and Arsenal by looking at how things have developed over the recent years. Arsenal were very fortunate not to loose out to 4th place to Spurs a few seasons ago but since then, they have cementated their place in the top 3. So for me, it would be Liverpool.
Well its between Liverpool and Arsenal and i have to say Liverpool look the more likely to drop out. You saw how close they came last season with Everton and they are nothing without Torres and Gerrard. Whereas Arsenal are Fluent all the time. If for example Fabregas were to get injured it would be a simple case of moving Nasri into the CM and putting Eboue and Walcott on the Wings. Whereas if Either Gerrard or Torres where to get injured they'd have problems finding Adequate cover IMO
Take Liverpool's Champions League game for example. Liverpool lacked all prowess to score a goal, apart from Gerrard's wonder shot, and his penalty. The only other chance Liverpool had on that night was a point-blank shot by Ryan Babel, which produced a wonderful save. I believe Gerrard salvaged one or two other games in the EPL during the during moments of the match. Another argument is that Liverpool really don't have many up-and-coming players. Sure they have Torres (fantastic player), Gerrard, Alonso (may be moving soon), Babel, Kuyt, etc. but I feel as though that's dwarfed by Arsenal's wonderkids: Clichy, Sagna, Walcott, Nasri, Fabregas, Vela, Ramsey, Wilshere (I'm skeptical about putting him on the list), and Traore. Pretty much a full team right there. Arsenal, I admit, did not have a good game against Dynamo either. We still had the signs of an strong attack, but we could make nothing of it. If I had an excuse, I'd say it's because Dynamo have a huge fan base (there must of been a maximum of 1,000 Arsenal fans), and their defense was superb on the night. Gallas was a complete idiot, and fucked up a fair amount of times. I'm still quite happy we salvaged a point -- Dynamo seem like a curse team for us. We have also made a pretty strong start to the season, and we have a few big players coming back from injuries (Nasri, Silvestre, Diaby).
