Hmm.. funny I came across today a very old sig I made back at DYC.. yet it wasn't at DYC it was at some Turkish Gfx forum!! Now there are quite a few guests searching the GFX area each day and Im sure every GFX maker feels the same - that we should make the GFX board private. It's not very fair when gusy are making their gfx each day and spend a few hours on it, just for some guest to come along and rip it and post it on another forum. Anyone else agree?
Even if the board is made private, the images will still be at an accessible URL where ever you host them.
I disagree, they could always just sign up and nick them anyway. Just make sure you have something small on them that identifies you as the creator.
Nah I'm cool with a public board. I also sign all of my sigs though, so I know where you're coming from.
I see where your coming from The Dude. but GFX are a big part of S2 and I think it should be public because of what GMJ said On the Other hand though, i imagine it's not hard to erase somebody's name from a sig.
If you do it over a place that has enough detail, it could be just about impossible to completely cover it up.
Public board is fine for viewing the sigs. If we ever have a forum dedicated to tutorials, then it should be private with a minumum post count to enter. I don't really care if someone rips my sig, because 1) It's just an image and it's actually an honor (too strong of a word maybe, but it gets the point across) that someone thinks your sig is good enough to be ripped and 2) If the person wears it on a site or whatever and calls it his own work, he's found out more times than not. People tend to remember good sigs, and if someone posts on more than one site, he'll figure out that the guy ripped it.
