I was on the Arsenal Website when I saw this picture. I noticed in the background it had #7 with Rocastle on it. He was an Arsenal legend that died 7 years ago due to Non-Hodgkins Lymphoma, It's a type of cancer i won't go into Detail. Five years and a day after his death, 1 April 2006 was designated "David Rocastle Day", as part of the themed matchday celebrations of Arsenal's final season at their stadium Highbury, a 5-0 win over Aston Villa. Fans paid tribute to Rocastle before the match with a minute's applause. Arsenal have also opened up a new youth team indoor training facility named after him, as a tribute to his contributions to the club. I just thought it was a nice touch and a fitting Tribute.
That's also what the away kit is based off of. It was the same colours as the kit Rocastle wore when he was a Gunner. I believe that's right.
If I chose a favorite team, it'd be Arsenal. Just from the name, it sounds like they have big guns. And lots of them.
If you could hear me now I would be doing an evil laugh.... But I believe that Arsenal can recover to win the EPL in the next 5 years at lea.....most. By the way this will be my last post for a while as my internet is on its last legs and I am away for the weekend.
