PREVIEW: This is a matchup of two hard-nosed teams that have sturdy offensive lines and are known for their defense. Neither team has much of a passing attack, so this game comes down to which o-line can better protect their offense, which defense can apply the pressure and help force runs, and which running back, Earnest Graham or Matt Forte, can help bail their QB out by putting up a strong ground threat. PREDICTION: Bears win a close one, although I picked the Bucs in my pick 'em, because I don't want to be rewarded if they lose.
It will be interesting to see how a fairly young Bucs OL deals with the resurgent Bears DL. The Bucs need to be able to run the ball to avoid long 3rd downs, where the Bears turn up the pressure. Their pass defense has looked good, particularly, against the Colts. Defensively, the Bucs need to take away the run. Force Orton and Chicago to pass.
Just read that Derrick Brooks and Gaines Adams are questionable, on top of Galloway being out for sure.
CBS just showed highlights of the game so far. Gaines Adams picked off and returned a 45-yd TD, some dumbass called Barrett 'Rudd', not 'Ruud', and Griese's not doing too bad. Maybe I'll ease up on him.
That was a pretty sweet INT return for a TD. Good play recognition by Gaines there. Wish I could watch the game with sound.
I wish I had actual vision of the game, as opposed to the ESPN scoreboard page. Once again, fuck FOX.
