<h3>Trachsel, Orioles aim for seventh straight win over Devil Rays</h3>

BALTIMORE (Ticker) -- The Baltimore Orioles have not had muchsuccess this season. What little success they have had has comeagainst the lowly Tampa Bay Devil Rays.


Steve Trachsel (5-7, 5.05 ERA) takes the mound on Thursday asthe Orioles try and complete a three-game sweep of the DevilRays.


Erik Bedard threw six effective innings and Corey Pattersonhomered as Baltimore posted a 6-1 win on Wednesday - the sixthstraight over Tampa Bay and eighth straight at home.

However, Trachsel is responsible for the Orioles' lone loss tothe Devil Rays this season. The 36-year-old righthander wastouched for six runs and six hits in 3 2/3 innings against hisformer team on April 17.


In his first start since after being on the 15-day disabled listwith a strained gluteus muscle, Trachsel allowed four runs andnine hits in 5 1/3 innings against Oakland on Saturday.

Edwin Jackson (2-9, 6.65) get the ball for Tampa Bay, which haslost five straight overall, and 16 of its last 18 on the road.Jackson picked up his first road win in four years on Friday,tossing six scoreless innings and allowing just four hits in a14-4 win over the New York Yankees. It was just the second winin 18 starts for Jackson.
