Some thoughts I had watching this game 1) I can't tell if Cassel sucks or McDaniel won't let him throw the ball. I do know he is deathly afraid of any sort of pressure, he panics and makes a bad pass or just lets them sack him. They really need to update the offense a little because it's really obvious what they're going to do all the time. Runs up the middle and short passes, every play. If Belichick and Co. want to make the playoffs with this kid, they need to let him at least attempt to throw the ball every once in a while. 2) The Patriots D looked terrible. I think it was partly because of how well Pennington, Brown and Fasano were playing, but they didn't have any answers for the Miami offense, and Brown had some of the biggest holes I've ever seen to run through. Dean Pees, Dom Capers, Bill Belichick all were outcoached today. 3) In the grand scheme of things, I don't think this loss means much for the Pats. If anything, they might now realize that the defense is not going to completely shut down teams every week, and they need to give up on running the most conservative offensive gameplan in years. They seriously look like a high school team at times, the way they are calling plays, its sad.
Next season, when we get Brady back. Glad I wasn't at home to watch it. haha. I was coming back from Frankfurt, Germany and landed at JFK around 1pm, then had to drive about 2 and a half hours.
The passes Cassel has been throwing have made him look like the white Tavaris Jackson. Why he doesn't heave up to Moss or throw more underneaths to Welker is beyond me.
shhhh, i'm AmericanGod ;] But to reiterate, I'm a Celtics, Patriots, Red Sox, Bobcats, and Bruins fan. How's things around S2 without me?
