I wish I could get votes with this compeitition! The top teams that I see are mine (bias), Charlotte, and Miami. I chose Miami, because they are just stellar with that starting lineup, same with Denny, but Miami has the better bench in my opinion. For my team, I'll say the same thing about Arenas as I did with Monta, that I will assume that they are healthy by the time playoffs roll around. With that in mind, I just drafted who I liked for my starters, and youth for my bench. A risky move, but I think they are pretty good. Westbrook as my PG, need him to only pass the ball and play great D. Gilbert needs to just score. Mike needs to hit open shots. Scola has to be just as solid as he was in Houston this past year and the Olympics. I think Chris Kaman is a solid scorer, rebounder, and defender. I like my bench mob of Green, Jaric, Chandler, and Bogans. I think Harrison is a relative unknown, but I think that he's proven that given minutes he can be a solid defender. With Kareem, I just wanted to add another shooter and Kareem definately fits that role. Donte is a rookie, but has a wide skillset and I look for him to get alot of time at the PF and SF positions when the 2nd stringers aren't producing effectively. But again, I voted for Miami. Good luck fellas.
I like the Bobcats, I think Iverson is the type of star KG needs to flourish and Howard does a bit of everything (when he's not high or hating on the US Anthem) so AI could jack up a lot of shots and this team will succeed. KG could possibly lead the league in rebounds too Cats have a decent bench with Knight at PG and Ricky Davis free to do his thang. I'd move Collison to back up C and Glen Davis at #1 backup at PF though.
I'm not particularly high on any even the benches in this division (though Josh Howard will be getting high on all of the benches ) and I think Charlotte has the best starters, a mix of vets, up and comers and solid players gives a good vibe. You can argue for Miami too, but I think the combination of KG, AI, Howard and Brewer trumps that of Yao, Lewis, Gerald Wallace and Miller.
The Heat and Bobcats are pretty even, so I took the difference in head-2-head games, KG would smear Shard on offense. IMO that's the decision maker right there because you have to be able to put someone kinda good on defense on a superstar, not someone playing out of position.
