OK, I kid. I apologize for the baiting and tawdry subject line, but I thought this was a pretty interesting article. http://www.cnn.com/2008/POLITICS/09/21/palin.rape.exams/index.html Excerpt: (and for the record, I don't think Governor Palin is "pro rape", but it's stuff like this that makes me seriously question her fitness to hold the second highest office in the land because of one of two reasons A. She knew about it and supported her Police Chief's decision to oppose state legislation providing for "free" rape examination kits, or B. She knew nothing about it, which possibly demonstrates a serious disconnectedness from her constituency on an issue that should almost certainly be on her radar considering the size of the town, and the unusually high rape rate in Alaska.)

Well the position does support her paltform of cutting gov't costs. But this one is a little extreme when it comes to cutting costs.
And, of course, we really don't know the full extent of the story- only what's fed to us by liberals.
When police are investigating other crimes, are there usually charges? I don't know, I've never been raped before.
I don't think so. I had my house burglarized. They came, gathered prints, took some samples here and thre including a DNA sample from some hair they found. I never got a bill.
There's other choice selections from that same article. During the time Palin was mayor of Wasilla, her city was not the only one in Alaska charging rape victims. Experts testified before the Legislature that in a handful of small cities across Alaska, law enforcement agencies were charging victims or their insurance "more than sporadically." ... "The bigger picture of what was going on at the time was that the state was trying to cut their own budget, and one of the things that they were doing was passing on costs to cities, and that was one of the many things that they were passing on, the cost to the city," said Patrick, who recalls enormous pressure to keep the city's budget down.
Actually I'm a moderate (fiscal conservative, pro gun, pro-choice, pro the "gummint" not legislating morality) and until about 5 years ago I was a registered republican ... If anything I should probably register as a libertarian, except I'm not that ideologically driven.
Well an eye for an eye, and so forth... If she is trying to get other people to get raped, then she should get raped. It's only fair.
to Palin's credit she just wants to "rape" the victims' pocket book ... and hell we all know that those "bitches" were asking for it ... right? ... guys?
Wow, I can't believe that this silly joke filled conversation is taking place about rape, a very serious subject.
