That and an African, South American, North American, etc, etc. Thing is though, we don't have enough people right now for that to work. Unless you guys, and I mean every one of you, want to up your post count per day x30 in those new forums and learning about 20 to 30 leagues in the World then I'll go ahead with it. My realistic goal is to have a very active football forum with all-round discussion where we can have all of these forums and make it truly international. We're a long way off on quantity, but we have the quality.
Yeah we have the quality, but not the quantity Also I would be in if you guys decided to go right ahead with your plans. As long as we are moving foward.
I voted North American leagues Purely for the fact that it opens it up for the Canadian league and such.
Call it NA leagues and I'll post some TFC/MLS stuff. Maybe even some stuff about the Impact and their incredable run as of late. Who knows if there's posters lurking out there but I'm offering one way to find out!
Sure do you plan to do the same with the France and the Netherlands? over 70 per cent think it should be something other than what you had called it. What more do you need? You asked, you got your answer.
Read this clearly and get it straight. You're the one that asked not to bring this subject out to the public forums and I did anyway to give your opinion the respect it deserves by having everybody vote instead of only staff members. I also did it to avoid more childish BS like this response you made. When you don't get your way you go to another forum instead of contributing to what we already have? Before now you haven't made any effort here despite the fact that you obviously enjoy this sport and are a current staff member. You have the forum name change by way of my best interests, so don't give me your attitude problem. To me this is just disrespectful. You make it out as though I don't contribute enough to those forums, well hey, take a look around the rest of the football forums. My efforts lately have been towards getting everybody else into lesser known top leagues in order to produce more international discussion. Every regular here in the football forums cares about what I do, except you apparently. You have made no contribution until now. You act as though I'm so strongly against the name change when the original name was what it is now when I created the forum. If you continue to have a problem, take it to the other Admins and see what they think.
Why? Just leave it. Shook will try and put some stuff up about the CSL and so on. It seems like you have a problem with it being North American Leagues.
I have to repeat myself over and over. I originally created the forum as North American Leagues and changed it for * insert long explanation given over four times now * and switched it. Now that it is what it is, that's fine, but there is no point in keeping it that way in the coming months if we aren't getting enough discussion. If we do, awesome, then perhaps we can move onto our original idea of creating continental forums and country sub forums. There is also no need to disrespect me if I had already made it known that the Dutch forum would be axed if it doesn't produce enough discussion. Go back a page and actually read what I wrote before you get involved.
Everybody take a deep breath. This is a growing and developing portion of the site. As we've all seen and discussed, there are multiple ways that the football forums could be organized. The leadership of this area has a high level plan for that organization and have listened to the users about making a change to it to see how it will work.
Did you just take a post that was posted in a private staff forum and bring it to the public forum? Please grow up and discuss this in private.
Most of what I say is tongue-in-cheek and it was wrong for me to expect you to be familiar with my posting style, with little or no experience with it. The comment regarding the French and Dutch forums, was in bad taste, even if it was done T-i-C and I certainly don't want to devalue yours or any other members contributions to the site.
Well, the decision has been made, it shall now be renamed North American Leagues. Thanks for everyones input.
Excellent, now we can collectively work towards ensuring the section has enough discussion to support the change!
The whole Canadian/US division will probably become less of an issue if Montreal and/or Vancouver move up to the MLS. Has anybody heard about that? I have friends in Vancouver who've told me that the Whitecaps have the financial base and fanbase to make the move, and both teams showed that they could compete at the MLS level this past year (at least as well as TFC). Every now and again I hear rumours, but that's about it.
Add Ottawa to that list as well. Nash is behind the Vancouver bid (his bro plays for the 'Caps). All three bids come with a SS stadium.
