Personally I think he'd be a good fit in Florida, but not as the rumors are suggesting, but in Orlando. Give Nelson some competition.

I also wonder if he is serious about playing in Euro as he's most likely to get a better offer there than with an NBA team.

HoopsHype has a few articles in their rumor section saying he is much healthier than the past 2 seasons.

I'm curious why the Knicks won't give him some time in pre-season seeing if they can move him. Maybe they can get a slightly longer deal, one that helps them still pre-2010, while dumping a longer deal, or some talent as Marbury's huge expiring contract is an asset.

Yeah, Knicks could wait and see how he does before dumping. His contract IS alot of money.

If he does get bought out, Miami will be looking because of their lack of a PG. Other than that, I think Europe would be in his best interest.

You sure he can even handle the Rod Benson's of the world? Don't you think the WNBA would be a better place for him with all his moodswings

The Blazers! They could use some veteran experience, and a point! It's perfect!

That's what I was thinking, either that or Siberia. It would be funny to see him on the And1 team, but in realistically I think he will go overseas.

I think the Heat would be a good fit. They're in need of a PG as it is, the only issue is his ego. I don't know if he could set it aside long enough to play 3rd fiddle behind DWade and Beasley. The Lakers are another team that could potentially show some intrigue there, as PG isn't exactly a strong suit on them.

the heat could use a pg, but they don't need a pg like marbury. they need a pg that doesn't need to the ball in his hands to be effective and that is a good spot up shooter. chalmers is the perfect pg for them but they at least need a backup to help him out. tyronn lue would have been perfect for them, but for whatever reason they brought him in and chose not to sign him.

i don't see many teams that could really use marbury.

Well, I think a lot of teams should look at him, just for the fact that the price is vet's minimum. They can always waive him after.

However it needs to be a team that needs him as a creator/slasher, and not a spot up 3 point shooter (as that has not been a strength for him traditionally).

Miami does need more talent period at the PG position, and Wade wanted someone else to create for the team.

I think the Spurs, or Lakers will be a good fit, coming off the bench, sign for the vets minimum...or maybe even Golden State, since they lost Baron Davis?
