I think he has a great point, although I don't expect them to make a great run

This team needs a real scoring guard and a little more intimidation around the rim and that's about it. Williams is good enough to put this team on the short list of title contenders. He's a superstar.

What do you think happens to the team if Boozer leaves?

lol I knew you would come in and say something to that effect.

But seriously, wouldn't it make them a worse team?

Actually now that I think of it, Kirilenko could play PF again

If it comes down to him and Okur, Okur is much more easily replaced with a cheaper player (which they just drafted). The rest of the FA list is expendable if they want too much money.

I don't know why this team refuses to put the finishing touches on their roster. A big man with some heft and a scoring SG would make all the good players they have better.

It seems like they have no faith in either Fresenko or Almond, because neither of them has gotten a chance. If they don't like these players, they should have spent the offseason looking for replacements. They have a young star, but they are ready to win right now - there's no time to dick around. Hows about some URGENCY?

I don't know if I'd say that. Sloan has a penchant for not playing rookies. Remember Ronnie Brewer got a 15 MPG jump from his rookie to 2nd year.

Fesenko is only 21. I'm sure it was a huge adjustment for him coming to America last year, and that stunted his development as an impact player somewhat, (remember the pre-draft, "Put the ball on the floor" story?) and he picked up a lot of quick fouls.

I'd expect CJ Miles to see an increased role this year, possibly even starting. I think Brewer would be an electric 6th man. They just matched a decent contract for him. I'd think he's in their plans if they matched 4yr/$15mil, when they coulda just let him go and played Almond.
