Play coach who would be on your two units?

    Starters
Bayless- can defend teams pg and can hit open shots when the ball is kicked out to him.
    Roy- obvious
Webster- I consider him a slightly better defender than Travis and better spot up shooter
    LMA-obvious
    Oden-obvious

    2nd unit
Blake- gives us valuable experience in the 2nd unit and someone who can settle down the team
    Rudy-obvious
    Travis-obvious
Frye-when he's back from injury he'll be the first big off the bench and will help spread the floor
    Pryz- obvious

I would run a hockey-style line change philosophy.

Black Unit (plays a slow down, set play game)
PG - Blake for the 1st half of the season, Bayless for the 2nd half
    SG - Roy
    SF - Webster
    PF - Aldridge
    C - Oden

    White Unit (plays uptempo)
    PG - Rodriguez
    SG - Fernandez
    SF - Outlaw
    PF - Frye
    C - Pryz

I'm looking forward to seeing what Martell can do this year. With Oden in the middle (doing his best impersonation of a black hole) if there ever was a chance for Martell to shine its now.

No Bayless In the white unit Maxiep. If you wanted to play uptempo wouldn't it be better to remove Pryz and add Bayless? Something like

    Pg. Serge
    Sg. Bayless
    Sf. Rudy
    Pf. Outlaw
    C. Frye

One more ball handler plus Frye rebounds well from the 5. It would have to focus on steals though and creating chaos in the other teams offense like a four man Zone plus a rover or something.

I think Bayless replaces Blake in the second half of the season as the starter. I'm just really high on playing the Iberians together in the backcourt.

Fastbreak basketball relies on four guys who can run the break with one guy who can rebound and throw the outlet pass. I'd rather keep a true center in there to hammer the boards and Frye can both score in the open court and rebound as well, so in my mind it's a two-fer.

However, you make an excellent poing about having a three-guard lineup; I think we'll be seeing a lot of it this season.

    Blake
    Roy
    Martell
    Aldridge
    Oden

Perfect balance of a basketball team from all angles IMO (maybe could use more slashing). But I think with Blake's steady play, Roy....nothing more to be said, Martell's shooting, LMA's high post offense and Oden's low post intimidation.....we're winning the 'ship.

Rudy as the 6th man, Travis as the 7th and Jerryd as the 8th. hoody hoo!
