AAAAAAAAAHHHHH! It's been out for a little while now, and I finally gave in. I was going to wait it out, and buy it at the store but I couldn't. Blu is one of my favorite rappers ever. If y'all don't know, his collab with DJ Exile (Below The Heavens) is a hip-hop classic. This is on that same path. Go get it. Now.
Below the Heavens is a classic. If you haven't bought it already, go buy it before you respond in this thread. That being said Johnson & Johnson is pretty mediocre. There are some songs that I like (I love the funky bassline on "Up all night"), but most of these lack a certain structure that I like in hip hop. Too many songs are interrupted with shoutouts, or random horns that don't fit in with the melody. If you really like Blu, do your eardrums a favor and go check out the song he did with Dela, called "Mars," and make sure you check out the original (although the remix isn't bad).
haha too weird. I was downloading Changes of Atmosphere right as I saw that post. What can I say, it's a great track! Another great Dela album.
