Not sure how reliable hoopsworld is for this type of information, but they are reporting that Carl Landry is going to sign an offer sheet from the Bobcats for around $3 million/year.

This is actually good news for the Rockets, if true. I fully expect the Rockets would match that, unless the knee is bothering them much more than they are letting on.

I also saw this release on the Bobcats.com website today:

I'm surprised it took this long for someone to grab him.

This is pretty cheap for a talent like Landry. Sign him!

Luther Head, I want to keep him around for the simeple fact that many chants can include Head and balls.

... amazing. He's gonna earn more than a few 1st rounders on their rookie deals.

We should let go of Mike Harris in my opinion. Landry was a big part of our success with Yao out last season. It'll be a shame if Morey doesn't match this offer. We have to get Landry.

Trade him to the Grizzlies. Head, Gay, Love, the possibilities are endless.

Unfortunately, Love was traded to the Wolves on draft night.

Does the signing of Landry mean they won't sign Joey Dorsey anymore?

Manager Daryl Morey told the team's website that "Joey is close to signing. By the end of the week, we should have that finished."
Morey added: "We're looking forward to having him join. It will likely be a long-term deal that keeps him here for a good stretch."

This was an article written on 9/24. The week has ended and Dorsey still hasn't signed.

    The deal is now done.

$3.5 million over 4 years, with the last two years being team options. Pretty good value for the Rockets, I think.

The only thing that keeps popping in my mind is, can Tmac and Yao really screw this thing up????

God I hope the answer to that is no.

I'm more concerned with injuries...they always bite.
