Again, I think not knowing about your own campaign's issues is worse than screwing up on a "ah ha!" fact that really seemed pointless to make. But if you're going to evoke something like this, I would hope you get it right. However, I'd rather have a candidate get some random minute fact wrong, over answering the same question twice, by repeating it again, when you've been given new information about it that flies in the face of what you just said.
