Who do you guys think will have a huge year this year and prove that he is a great player? I think Elton Brand is going to bounce back from injury this year and have a huge year for the Sixers. I also think Lebron is going to completely dominate and win the MVP this season.
I really like Butler too, and I hope he does have a great season. I know this is wishful thinking, but I also would like Juan Dixon to have a good year for the Wiz with the time he will receive with Arenas out.
I think Dwyane Wade is going to have a monster year. 30+ ppg and 7+ apg is well within his abilities.
I doubt it, for an entire season to put up 30+ ppg, unless he decides to start taking more 3s. Attacking the rim hard like he does, and doing it enough times to get 30 points a night daily, I think the double teams and hacks will discourage him from doing it. I could see him doing it for the entire playoffs, just not regular season.
I just don't think he's in his prime anymore ( it would appear he'd also have to go beyond that a bit to reach these figures), and he's definitely struggled playing through an entire season lately.
Wade has been playing injured for practically 1 1/2 seasons, since he injured his shoulder in Houston a couple years ago. Before that point, he was averaging 30+ points and 8 assists a game for a few months in Shaq's absence. All indications this summer are that he's fully back physically. And I think he's going to play with something to prove this year.
Donte Greene, Carmelo Anthony, Demetris Nichols, Jason Hart, Etan Thomas, Darryl Watkins, and Hakim Warrick.
Did you forget about this guy named Michael Jordan? Most of his 30+ppg seasons, he spent taking mid range jumpers and attacking the rim. He never really added a three point shot to his repertoire until later in his career. I think DWade will come out and have a huge year. He seems like he's going to finally be healthy this year, and if he is, watch out. I also look for Bynum to be huge. His knee's going to be healthy and he should be motivated, especially considering he'll be up for an extension. Also, Andre Iguodala. Offenses won't be able to focus on him as much with the addition of Brand. Plus, if he's improved his jumper any, he should be plenty of open looks with defenses collapsing on Brand a lot down in the post and bringing double teams.
I think Jordan had a stronger mid range jumpshot, and fade-aways than Wade`s at this point. Both of them were aggressive taking it to the hoop, and I could see Wade getting 25 ppg the way he plays, just don't see him getting 30 next year.
Wade is nowhere close to being like Jordan so I think that comparison isn't a good one. my guess is Wade averages around 23 ppg. I see Lebron winning the scoring title this year.
I'm not saying that Wade is anywhere close to Jordan, don't get me wrong there. I'm just saying that their style of play is a fair comparison. Both get/got most of their points going to the rim.
