LOL.... Anyone see Letterman last night? McCain cancelled his appearance using story about halting his campaign so he could work with congress and save the economy. Trouble is the stupid bastard was caught by Letterman staffers AT CBS, having makeup put on so Katie Couric could interview him.... all this while he was supposed to be either taping Letterman or saving the economy. Letterman was pissed. And McCain was pissed he let everyone know about his little charade.

He told everyone when he made his announcement that he was suspending his campaign that he would head to DC the next morning. Blowing off Letterman to talk to Couric is smart, as a news show is more important than having a few yuks with Dave. In fact, CBS News is annoyed with Letterman for making it an issue.

Gee, the evening news in the midst of an economic collapse or Goofy Dave Letterman and his diminishing base of viewers.

    Decisions, decisions...

    Point is he lied.

He lied about why he cancelled Letterman.

And he lied about suspending his campaign. Doing a news interview with Katie isn't suspending his campaign, and its not him doing his job as a senator to help fix the economy.

John felt that the evening was not one for humor, (it would be worse to see a candidate joking about the economic situation), did a real news interview and then left for Washington the next morning. Who the hell cares lol.

    Point is he lied.

Point is he tried to pretend he was doing statesmanlike duties when he was campaigning instead...something he said he wasn't going to do.

If he'd just said I don't think going on a comedy show is appropriate right now and I'm going to speak to the public and answer Katie Courics questions instead....nobody would have had a problem with it.

lol, I`m surprized that anyone cares to begin with. It`s kind of retarded when the media nitpicks about bullshit things instead of focusing on the real issues.

    no its not.

its retarded that mccain is the whore that he is and then tries to pull the wool over every ones eyes by spouting off about what a great patriot and statesman he is. if he gived a damn about anything other than his own ambitions he would never have picked a nitwit like palin as his running mate. If he is elected and strokes out we'd be stuck with that scary bitch running the country.

First off, yes it is a tiny relevant-issue to nit-pick about. I`m surprized you are arguing that it isn`t.

And secondly, I argree that McCain`s age and Palin`s experience and ability to lead are definitely issues that should be focused on among others things (like what the candidates plan on doing, economy wise, energy-wise, iraq-wise, healthcare, etc.). I just consider this an issue of little importance...

and btw, every candidate tries to pull wool over everyone's eyes to make them seem perceived better than they actually are. lol, that is practically part of the definition of being a politician.

how come that never came up in the debate?

all they talked about was the war and the freaking economy.

maybe they will have some better questions next time.

we can have mccain tell us about the whores and obama tell us about his preacher.

I think they should be required to down a shot before answering each question.
