To be honest, I won't miss him too much. We're deep enough where we won't even remember this guy before too long.

We owe him a fuckload of money still. Try to trade him. Too bad baseball doesn't have a Matt Millen or Isiah Thomas, that makes this a lot more difficult. The Giants need bats though...

Yeah Giants is a possibility, other than that I'm not so sure. Theo made a mistake by getting this injury-prone dude. lol

Giants, D-Backs (depending if Adam Dunn's a FA or not, i'm not sure), and maybe the Cardinals are the teams that come to mind first.

So you agree that he won't be missed during the playoffs if they keep him off the roster?

We have a really deep lineup. We'll forget all about him by the ALCS should it get that far. A combination of Kotsay and Crisp is plenty adequate to replace him, IMO.

True, but that's only true really because of Ortiz's injury and Youkilis hadn't come around. If Youkilis had his second-half form all season and Ortiz was healthy for a full slate of games, and we didn't have Drew, we'd be in no problem.

Still doesn't detract from the fact he's the thank for us being in the playoffs. Yeah, he's grossly overpaid but there's absolutely no reason to act like he's the anti-Christ. I'd much rather have him coming off the bench than Kotsay; a consistent bat and steady glove. Plus, he's as clutch as it comes.

The way you guys are throwing him under the bus it's starting to sound like you want to rename him JD Buckner.
