Re: Big Time Centers Rookie #'s

My friend, try for a moment, to think away from the subject, and do think theoretically. Would it make sense for anyone, to support any issue, to only focus on the possible "good things" and not the bad? Would you not call this an incomplete, or perhaps, a biased view? I will say that I consider Greg Oden capable of achieving great things in the NBA, and consider him an NBA prospect worth conversing about with elaborate praise...but not yet; let this praise be at this point, inaccurate. While I will think that a certain player is capable of achieving great marks (this is, afterall, "potential"), I must also allow the possibility that such a great prospect may not reach this plateau (this is, after all, "potential").

jesus christ guys...it isnt rocket science that HCP was trying to do. You guys giving him shit missed his entire point. He was just trying to show the numbers of hof's C rookie numbers so people can get an idea of what Oden needs to be achieving to start his career as a hof C would. No fucking shit there are top big man busts, that was not the point of this thread at all.

So you've never posted about Bynum being so young or that his second season was more like a true rookie season?

Are you a 5 year old that ask "why" after every fucking statement?

Dwight is the top young big man in the league...holy shit, hcp must have wanted to compare Oden to a young current great C who has had a great beginning to his career...How dare HCP compared him to a relevant big man...thats biased asshole

Re: Big Time Centers Rookie #'s

A fair point. I do mean that sincerely.

However with that logic look at the quoted Dwight Howard minutes. He achieved relatively poor output compared to his peers. Well, would it then not mean that a player can start distant from HOF stats and yet be dominant? That does beg a question my friends...

Regardless, let me assume the position that only praise is to be considered in this thread. My previous thoughts still hold with regard to the accuracy of the discourse achieved in this thread.

Thanks Rizz for lookin' out! I was wondering what I did so wrong. Like I said earlier, with all the BULLSHIT threads started on here, they come after me. Now I'm worried about starting another thread. Maybe I'll just leave that to these 2 "experts".

It sounds like someone is getting heated. HCP can go ahead and compare Oden to a young current great C who had a great beginning to his career.

...however Dwight does not meet the criteria provided by your other examples

...and that Oden has yet to play an NBA game, there can be no comparison.

C'mon man, are you not reading my posts? I'm doing my best to explain to you that we agree that Oden is a great prospect, but that your analysis of his potential is biased. You're a smart poster, you can do better.

It should raise a red flag to anyone that reads this. Rather than take the time to read, comprehend, and respond to our thoughts, he's taking the "easy" way out.

Re: Big Time Centers Rookie #'s

Well since you were smart enough to know that Dwight didnt play as much his rookie year as the others then maybe you can make a post pointing that out instead of what you have done.

To your last point...holy crap, reading comprehension....He is just showing numbers to aim for! Not each others individual games and skillset

Re: Big Time Centers Rookie #'s

What exactly have I done? Asked that you supply a complete analysis of Greg Oden? The horror...

So perhaps he has simply shown numbers to aim for. So what? These can be presented to anyone. If you would be so righteous to supply simple goals, at least make these goals consistent.
