I gave my microwave away. It was just too big. I don't know if I will buy a smaller one. I wonder how life without a microwave would be. You wouldn't want to eat in a restaurant that used microwaves to cook your food, why should you settle for that at home?
dunno, hate eating frozen food...i do like the taquitos at costco...but that's about it. usually i just warm bread in the microwave.
what about warming up leftovers, or stuff you take home in a doggie bag when you dine out? wifey usually only eats about half her meal when we go out. always takes the rest home and nukes it for lunch the next day.
yeah, its useful. i'm trying it out. I would guess I would stick it in the oven, which would consume more power. hmmm.....or fry spaghetti. hah Its a matter of convienience over quality. no one makes great microwave meals.
get a little one with a setting that reheats foods automatically. mine knows when the food is warm and turns itself off.
It is pretty convenient for popcorn. thawing out stuff too. and some frozen foods that are good for microwaves. (Pizza pops, beef patties, buritos, etc.)
they are also great for heating water quick if you have top ramen or cup of noodles eaters in the house.
yeah, but i got teenagers i feed that come over every day after school. i keep stuff like that around for them.
Pasta can be tricky as its then easy to overcook it, but the oven works best. Chinese food same deal, the problem though is if you get anything fried in a sauce it's never gonna be the same.
lol.... they don't get popsicles. but there is a hookah pipe that I know gets fired up now and then.... and its not always tobacco in it.
i grew up without a microwave, but they are invaluable for heating up leftovers. Not to mention Healthy Choice dinners, which are awesome.
